Located in Gien, the bakery Bread in a Pocket has recently undertaken development work to improve the acoustic comfort of its sales area and its catering area. In a setting where reception and sound ambiance play an essential role in the customer experience, it was essential to provide an effective and aesthetic solution.

An acoustic issue at the heart of the customer experience

Bakeries and food service areas often face sound resonance issues due to the combination of hard surfaces (display cases, tile floors, wood or metal furniture) and a high volume of customers. Bread in a Pocket, these challenges were amplified by the presence of numerous bay windows, both at the windows and at the pastry displays, which contributes to significant sound reverberation.

Faced with this problem, the desire was clear: to offer a pleasant setting, conducive to relaxation and conviviality, both for customers coming to buy their bread and for those enjoying a gourmet break on site.

Panneau Piano, a high-performance and aesthetic acoustic solution

To address this issue, the bakery opted to install Panneau Piano suspended acoustic panels. These panels combine acoustic efficiency and elegant design. In order to optimize their integration and efficiency, two types of shapes were selected :

Rounded square panels for the sales area.
Round panels for the catering area.

These panels were integrated in such a way as to:

Reduce sound reverberation, thus improving the clarity of exchanges between customers and staff.
Maintain a warm and modern aesthetic, integrating harmoniously into the decor of the bakery.
Adapt to the constraints of the place, especially when suspended, without encroaching on the available space.

For even more discreet integration, it was decided to use black installation kits (cables and hanging mechanisms). They allowed the panels to blend in better with the black ceiling, thus guaranteeing an elegant installation consistent with the aesthetics of the place.
